About the DCIG
The Dominion Community Impact Group is a body created by the Redeemed Christian Church of God – Dominion Cathedral to help Church members better meet the needs of the community, through giving and volunteerism.
The DCIG can help you find the answers to what, where, when and how to volunteer. We can identify volunteering opportunities within some of the many local voluntary, community and charitable organizations that desperately need volunteers in order to fulfill their mission and help people and communities in and around the City of Orange.
The DCIG can offer you a one-to-one confidential interview, either in person or over the telephone, giving you the chance to tell us about your own interests, what you want to get out of volunteering, and the skills and commitment you can offer.
The coordinators can then help you to identify which organizations can benefit most from your input and which opportunities you might enjoy. You can also visit organizations like Jersey Cares or Create the Good to browse local volunteering opportunities. If you see an opportunity you are interested in, let us know and we can guide you through the process of participating.
Another way by which the DCIG supports the community is by creating opportunities for charitable giving. This year, we will hold clothing, food, and book drives, walk-a-thons, benefit concerts, and community fairs.
